Vase of Flowers-Broderie Perse with Reta Seibert



You will need:
Rotary Cutter
Sharp Scissors - embroidery scissors work the best
Cutting Mat
Applique Pressing Sheet or Parchment Paper
Pencil
Eraser
Rulers
Pins
Steam-a-seam 2
Design Board if you have one
Tear-away Stabilizer - the size of your background

Sewing machine
Fabrics - use unwashed if possible or spray starch then iron
Background fabric - should be a light color and not too big - approx. 16" x 20"
Flowers - a variety with different sizes of flowers
Leaves - material with leave on it works best
Vase - fabric that compliments your choice of flowers
Borders - 1/8 Meter for inside narrow border to frame your work. Outside border - you can choose once flimsy is done
Batting - slightly larger than your squared up flimsy
Backing & binding - this can be chosen once your flimsy is done.

Bring a bag lunch & water or beverage

There will be books with some examples. Draw your own pictures…keep it simple or you can play with your cut-outs on your design board, shifting them around , until you like the arrangement.
