Instructions:
Trace applique designs onto paper side of fusible web - adding about 1/4 inch to areas that will be overlapped by other shapes. Fuse web to wrong side of fabrics. Cut out shapes. Place Pressing Sheet on top of applique pattern. This will allow you to use the pattern as a placement guide for pieces. Peel paper backing from applique pieces. Using pattern - position pieces on pressing sheet. Work from the background to the foreground. Fuse pieces together with a hot iron to pre-assemble applique. The adhesive backing will stick temporarily to pressing sheet. Allow pieces to cool. Gently peel fused pieces off pressing sheet. The overlapping edges of applique pieces will be fused together - allowing you to remove the design as an assembled unit. Position assembled qpplique pieces atop background fabric and fuse. Satin stitch or blanket stitch around edges of applique. TIP - Place fusible applique pressing sheet atop ironing board to protect ironing board cover from fusible web and interfacing. TO CLEAN SHEET -For a small amount of fusible web or glue - simply rub off with fingers or a soft cloth. If the entire sheet is dirty - cover with extra fabric and press. Allow fabric to cool. Peel fabric from board. All of the adhesive will stick to the fabric. If needed - the pressing sheet can be washed with soap and water.
